What is your refund policy?
Not sure if ProWritingAid premium is for you? No problem!
If you're unhappy with your premium license, contact us at hello@prowritingaid.com within 14 days of purchase to request a refund.
If you'd like to keep your premium license but stop future payments, you can do this at any time by going to your user profile and turning off auto-renew. Please note that cancelling your subscription will not generate a refund - you'll still need to contact us within 14 days.
How secure is my work?
With ProWritingAid, your work is absolutely secure.
We never keep your work or any text entered into our editor. We run thousands of analysis requests every day. The data is encrypted and sent to our servers to be processed, but it is never stored on these servers.
Your documents are created and uploaded to your account, but you are the only one who has access to them.

Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes! You can cancel your subscription at any time by going to your account and clicking 'cancel subscription'. Your account will remain active until the renewal date.
Can I use ProWritingAid on more than one computer?
Yes! Our licenses are for individual users, so as long as you're the only person using the account, you can install ProWritingAid on several computers. However, if other people are using a shared computer, they will need to buy their own license.
Will my license auto-renew?
Yes. If you purchase a monthly or annual subscription, your premium license will renew automatically on the date of your initial purchase using the card you have on file.
However, our lifetime licenses are a one-time payment, so once purchased, you would not be charged again.
What is the benefit of Premium vs. Free?
With a ProWritingAid premium license, you have access to the desktop app and an unlimited word count. You'll also gain features like the paraphrase/rewrite report, style suggestions and collaboration. Check out our comparison between premium and free accounts to see the full list of benefits.
How many words can I check at one time?
With a free account, you will only receive suggestions for 500 words at a time. With a premium account, you can use ProWritingAid with documents of any length.
What languages can I use ProWritingAid with?
Currently, ProWritingAid is only available in English - this includes: General English, British English, US English, Australian English, and Canadian English.
Do you have discounts for educators, military veterans, or non-profits?
We are happy to offer a 20% discount for educators, veterans and non-profits. This reduction can be used on premium and premium plus subscriptions. To receive this offer, contact the support team at hello@prowritingaid.com.
